Design Notes
The coding sequence for the yeast endogenous Gα i.e. GPA1 was used to make the chimera of GPA1-Gαs chimera and GPA1-Gαi chimera. These chimera acts as a adaptor molecule to bridge the human receptors to the endogenous beta subunit Ste4p, and gamma subunit Ste18p.
